A weekend of festival and frolicking down in Easton

Bigger and better again than last year, the Easton Summer Festival and Respect in the West once again combined back-to-back to provide a full weekend of colour, music, ambience and excitement in Easton.

With a parade along St Mark's Road and up to the Community Center, crowds defied the rain on the Saturday and started the party early, going on into the early hours with a free
club night in the community center.

Sunday was down to Eastville Park, and a day of relaxing in the sun with international music and dance on two stages - including Latin, Indian, Asian and African dance - a comedy tent, DJs, childen's area and food and drink stalls from a range of community organisations.

London's Bolywood Brass Band got the afternoon of to a lively start, with DJ Derek filling in with the usual regae vibes.

Evening was an excellen performance from SKA ensemble Top Cats, and current local chart toppers Kosheen rounding off the night in fine style. Fantastic!
