A relaxed, friendly evening of hip hop and beats, featuring Ming (the merciless), Mixmaster Morris, and Stevie Bear.
Friday 27th April 2001. Bleep Street. Thekla, Bristol.
The friendly, positive crowd down at the Thekla, left enough room for moving manoeuvres without getting lonely on the floor. A warm welcome for the opening band Ming - it's great to see some live & local music creeping into the club scene. This was followed by a great and seemilgly endless set from Mixmaster Morris.
Bleepstreet is tied in closely with the exceedingly funky Sunday# series on irregular Sunday evenings at the Arc Bar (Corn street), and with a new electronica record label Pause2. We hop to bring you more on that soon.
To top it all, about ten mates from all over the country turned up to dance about with us and have some fun... yes, it was a good night out.
