The new look for BristolBeat
BristolBeat will soon incorporate ecosm, a feature that will open up the magazine to the readership. you will be able to submit features and reviews, promote your events and yourself, and by contributing to the content of the site, shape the way bristolbeat develops.
We are developing a straightforward format that will allow you to enter your information, direct online, quickly and easily.
we are devising a simple and non-intrusive author recognition method (a sort of no-strings-attached membership idea) so that you will be able to go back to your own articles and edit them, if and when you may wish to do so. e.g a venue could update its listings regularly, a band/performer update their list of upcoming shows, a random ranter curb their opinion.
Any of our readership will be able to submit comments on and follow-ups to the articles they read, and this feedback will be available to both the author and other readers. This should help to provoke debate and provide rounded coverage and discussion.
Articles will be catalogued in a clear way to enable our readership to find what they are looking for and limit time spent trawling around, lost, (although we are confident that the level of content will be high enough to encourage browsing when time permits).
Ecosm will be another step forward in making BristolBeat a representative and innovative online magazine for bristol, making it ever easier for people to get involved. we will be contacting artists, venues and groups in the local community to encourage their involvement, and we'd also like to encourage any individuals to start thinking up ways they can get involved. So start scheming.
Whilst this development gets under way, we continue to add to the present model of the site, so do explore...
