.....MOODYDOOD.....

A selected blend of Sculptured Sounds, Quirky Breaks, Abstract Electronica and the Doods' unique vocal & guitar performance make for the distinctive sound that is... MOODYDOOD.

Since forming the Doods fulltime in Spring 1999, the duo choose to fuse the innovative electronic verve of Dr. Moody (a Blowpop lynchpin) with the sublime vocal styling of Dood-Cox (ex Cooking Vinyl).

Dr. Moody's real-time sample prowess behind the decks and virtuoso melding of midi to music are bringing him growing acclaim; recently seen and heard livening up London's shiny new(ish) Fabric, and raising the roofs at venues across the north-west, as well as going all out for his regular sets around Bristol.

Of the MOODYDOOD experience, he says, "I just get completely lost in it. The performance and writing. Sometimes I cry, sometimes I funk all over."
Dood-Cox, in her own inimitable way, sums up their sound:
"Honesty, risk and fatimawitbass..."

Dr.Moody is resident DJ at Blowpop (see link), Bang On @ the Blue Mountain club (see link), Yellow Submarine @ St Nick's House (see link) and Trout Replica. Dood-Cox released her solo album 'Jude' in 1995 and vocal credits include singing for Eddie Reider back in '96.

May sees the initial release date of the phenomenal new MOODYDOOD single 'Undercover' from their forthcoming debut album 'Reem'.

The duo are playing with Bristol's legendary dark bass prophets SUBGOD on Feb.12th at the Louisiana, Bristol. Get there early.
